Women's Lacrosse Earns IWLCA Team Community Awareness Award

The women's lacrosse team was awarded the NCAA Division III Team Community Awareness Award by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) on Friday (Nov. 22). It is the second straight year the women's lacrosse program received the honor. The Team Community Awareness Award recognizes outstanding contributions by one team from each division on their campus and in their local community. "It's an absolute honor for our program to be recognized as the most outstanding in community service from among the nation's 300+ Division III women's lacrosse programs for the second year in a row," said Head Coach Ashley Johnson. "Serving generously is one of the pillars in Alma College's mission statement and our program embraced it to the fullest last year by serving over 1,400 hours.
