Adrian, Mich. - The Alma College men's golf team participated in the first MIAA Jamboree of the season Tuesday (Sept.19), landing in eighth place with a score of 342. Leading the way for the Scots was freshman Tait Morrissey (Canadian Lakes, Mich./Big Rapids), who tied for 39th place overall with his final score of 82.
- Coming in second overall for the Scots was junior Kyle Bodkins (Ada, Mich./Forest Hills Central), who landed in a tie for 41st place and tallied a score of 83.
- In third and fourth places (tied for 46th and 47th overall), junior Bennett Schmidt (Frankfort, Mich./Frankfort) and freshman Reese Middleton (Perry, Mich./Perry) ended the day with scores of 88 and 89, respectively.
- Bodkins came within one stroke of tying for first place overall for the Scots with Morrissey.
- Two Scots improved their golf game from the first tournament, with Bodkins taking three strokes off his game and Morrissey four.
The men will see action this Saturday (Sept. 23) at the second MIAA Jamboree. The tournament is hosted by the Scots at the Pine River Country Club in Alma and is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
