Alma, Mich. - The Alma College men's golf team hosted the second MIAA Jamboree on Saturday (Sept. 23) at the Pine River Country Club, finishing in eighth place with a total score of 338 (+50). On top for the Scots today were junior Bennett Schmitt (Frankfort, Mich./Frankfort) and freshman Tait Morrissey (Canadian Lakes, Mich./Big Rapids), who both tied for 36th place with their scores of 83 (+11).
- In third overall for the Scots, junior Kyle Bodkins (Ada, Mich./Forest Hills Central) landed in 40th place with an 84 (+12). He was only one stroke away from a three-way tie with Schmitt and Morrissey.

- It was sophomore Luke Lamoreaux's (Sterling Heights, Mich./Sterling Heights Stevenson) first tournament for the men's golf team, and he posted an 88 (+16) with his tie for 44th place.
- Junior Bennett Schmitt saw improvement from the first MIAA Jamboree, taking five strokes off his last score of 88.
The men will see action again on Monday (Sept.25) when they travel to West Olivet for the third MIAA Jamboree. Tee-off is set for 1:00 p.m. at the Wuskowhan Players Club.
