Jackson, Mich. - The Alma College men's golf team concluded the two day Irish Hills Invitational on Saturday (Sept. 14) from The Grande Golf Club. The event hosted by Adrian College was won by Kenyon College (OH) with a combined two day score of 589. The Scots finished in 12th place as a team with a final team score of 670.
Leading the Scots individually was freshman Andrew Curran (Byron Center, Mich. Jenison) with a two day score of 165. Curran shot a 76 on day two of the tournament. Also finishing with a score of 165 was junior Tait Morrissey (Canadian Lakes, Mich. / Big Rapids). Both men finished tied for 47th place individually. Finishing in 58th was senior Luke Lamoreaux (Sterling Heights, Mich. Stevenson) with a two day score of 169. Sophomore Eli Pinter (Muskegon, Mich. Reeths-Puffer) finished tied for 60th place with a score of 171. Finishing the scoring for the Scots was sophomore JP McDonald (Jackson, Mich. / Hillsdale Academy) with a two day combined score of 193.
Up next for the Scots is the second MIAA Jamboree of the year from Pine River Country Club in Alma, Mich. Tee off is set for 1:00 pm on Saturday (Sept. 21)
