Bowling Finishes Third in American Heartland III

Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Alma College women's bowling team finished third in the American Heartland III tournament on Saturday (Jan. 25). The Scots were led by senior Emma Davis (Horton, Mich. / Hanover Horton), who finished in sixth place. Davis was followed by four other Scots in the top 50.

How It Happened

  • Alma averaged 918.78 points per game with a total of 6799 points, which put it behind Duquesne in first with a total of 7042 points and Wright State in second with 6849 points total.
  • Davis finished in sixth with an average of 191.2 points per game and a total of 956.
  • Davis was followed by junior Brooke Fornetti (Iron Mountain, Mich. / Iron Mountain) in 19th with a total of 844 points on the day. 
  • Freshman Bethany Slater finished up in 21st, and senior Josee Hale (Defiance, Ohio / Defiance Senior High) placed 46th.
