Wrestlers fall at Davenport, 41-12

Grand Rapids, Mich. - The Alma College wrestling team closed out the dual meet portion of the 2016-17 season on Tuesday (Feb. 7) at Davenport University with a 41-12 defeat.

Junior Aaron Parr-Besemer (Berkley, Mich./Berkley) gained the first team points of the night by receiving a forfeit win over Davenport at 125 pounds.

Freshman Noah Lopez (Hartland, Mich./Hartland) also earned points for the Scots at 133 pounds, pinning Davenport's Kahle Scheenks 2:32 into the match for his fifth pinfall of the year.

The Scots forfeited four weight classes, giving Davenport 24 of its 41 points.

Alma will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 11, when it travels to Olivet College to participate in the Mid-States Championships.
