Kaitlyn Arnold wins at Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble

Oberlin, Ohio - Senior Kaitlyn Arnold (Jackson, Mich./Northwest) triumphed in her fourth race of the season on Saturday (Oct. 15), winning comfortably at the Oberlin College Inter-Regional Rumble. Arnold finished the 6K course in 21:05.04, nearly 15 seconds ahead of the next finisher.

The Scots' women's cross country team finished 10th overall with a score of 291 in a field of 29 teams , most of which will compete in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional in a few weeks. Oberlin won the meet with a team score of 94.

Sophomore Mallory Munderloh (St. Louis, Mich./St. Louis) was the next finisher for Alma, crossing the line in 22:59.4 to place 40th overall. Junior Chelse Van Spronsen (Jenison, Mich./Jenison) was right behind her, placing 44th with a time of 23:05.4.

The Scots will have a week off before taking part in the MIAA Championships, which is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 29, at Albion College.
